With over 19 years of experience in the design industry, Christena graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Atlanta, is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), a NEWH professional member, and a NKBA professional member. Christena’s career started in high-end residential design where she worked full-time as a senior designer and project manager. Her focus was luxury kitchen and bath design, sales, CAD documentation, and project management from start to finish. With a passion for hospitality, Christena’s career path seamlessly transitioned to Hirsch Bedner and Associates where she solely focused on four to six star hotel projects. She had the unique opportunity to work on many international projects from concept to completion. After six years with HBA, Christena joined the KID team in January of 2013. During her career with KID, Christena has worked on numerous projects domestically focusing on high end luxury hotels, clubhouses, resorts, and boutique hotels. Christena has an in-depth understanding of construction documentation and processes and uses her management skills and creativeness in project collaboration with owners, consultants, and contractors to see the design vision brought to life.
